Hello! My name is Shruti.
I’m a freelance editor and the author of two published children’s books.
I’ve grown up reading and loving books, and I know how even seemingly trivial errors can spoil the ultimate reading experience, which is why I’ve started The Green Pencil to ensure no one can question the quality of your writing!

Why ‘The Green Pencil’?
‘To blue-pencil’ is to censor a writer’s work to bring it within the folds of acceptability, or to delete certain sections to shorten a manuscript. (Don’t believe me? Ask my dear friends Collins, Oxford, or Merriam-Webster!)
The Green Pencil doesn’t believe in destroying your ideas—rather, I water your writing in order to make it grow to achieve its best possible form!

It’s simple, really. Just take a 500–1000 word sample from the middle of your manuscript/draft and email it to thegreenpenciledits@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Request for Sample Edit’. It’s free—no strings attached.
